Previous 8 / 9 Next

HUPLONG INDUSTRIES (M) SDN BHD is the authorized distributor of NORRES industrial hoses in Malaysia.

HUPLONG supplies genuine NORRES hoses for disposal vehicles, suction vehicles, vacuum trucks and suction excavators to customers throughout Malaysia. The current range includes abrasion-resistant polyurethane hoses, antistatic and electrically conductive hoses and flexible thermoplastic suction and discharge hoses for suitable industrial-cleaning, bulk-material and liquid-transfer applications.

Hoses for Disposal and Suction Vehicles

Suction-Vehicle Hose Applications

NORRES presents an initial selection of hoses for disposal vehicles, suction tankers, vacuum trucks and suction excavators. Depending on the exact hose model, the listed applications include sewer and sewage cleaning, industrial cleaning, furnace cleaning, roof gravelling, roof-gravel conveying and the suction or discharge of suitable liquids and abrasive bulk materials.

Materials conveyed by suction vehicles may include dirt, stones, soil, gravel, sand, mud, granulates, powders, shards, chips, industrial water and wastewater. These materials impose different requirements on the hose wall, reinforcement, pressure capability, vacuum resistance, electrical properties and chemical compatibility.

Hose selection must therefore be based on the conveyed medium, particle size, abrasiveness, required internal diameter, hose length, airflow, operating pressure, vacuum, temperature, installation arrangement and any antistatic or electrically conductive requirements.

Hoses for Suction Excavators

AIRDUC® PUR 356 AS (XHD), AIRDUC® PUR 355 VAC-TRUCK REINFORCED and AIRDUC® PUR 355 VAC-TRUCK ORANGE are identified by NORRES for suitable suction-excavator applications.

AIRDUC® PUR 356 AS (XHD) is a super-heavy polyurethane suction and pressure hose. It has reinforced primary abrasion areas, a narrow hose pitch and a permanently antistatic hose wall. NORRES identifies it for extremely abrasive bulk materials, granulates, stones, suction vehicles, dry suction trucks and suction excavators.

AIRDUC® PUR 355 VAC-TRUCK REINFORCED is a heavy and reinforced polyurethane hose intended for high-throughput conveying of extremely abrasive bulk materials, granulates and stones. NORRES identifies it for roof gravelling, industrial cleaning, furnace cleaning, vacuum trucks and dry suction trucks.

AIRDUC® PUR 355 VAC-TRUCK ORANGE is a heavy reinforced vacuum-truck hose designed specifically for suction excavators and municipal sweeping vehicles. NORRES identifies it as highly abrasion resistant, microbe resistant and resistant to oil, gasoline and chemicals.

The VAC-TRUCK ORANGE model currently has a specific large-diameter article variant. Hose diameter, pressure and vacuum data must therefore be checked before treating it as interchangeable with another VAC-TRUCK hose.

Industrial Cleaning and Furnace Cleaning

AIRDUC® PUR 356 AS (XHD), AIRDUC® PUR 356 EC (XHD), AIRDUC® PUR 355 VAC-TRUCK REINFORCED and NORPLAST® PUR 387 ANTIABRASIVO® are identified for suitable industrial-cleaning or furnace-cleaning applications.

AIRDUC® PUR 356 EC (XHD) is a super-heavy electrically conductive polyurethane hose for high-throughput conveying of extremely abrasive bulk materials, granulates and stones. Its current product page identifies vacuum trucks, suction vehicles, dry suction trucks and furnace cleaning among its applications.

NORPLAST® PUR 387 ANTIABRASIVO® is an extremely heavy full-plastic hose with a premium polyurethane inner layer, soft-PVC exterior and rigid-PVC spiral. It is suitable for high-throughput conveying of abrasive bulk materials and for suitable vacuum-truck, dry-suction-truck and furnace-cleaning applications.

Roof Gravelling and Abrasive Bulk-Material Conveying

NORRES identifies AIRDUC® PUR 356 AS (XHD), AIRDUC® PUR 355 VAC-TRUCK REINFORCED and NORPLAST® PUR 387 ANTIABRASIVO® for suitable roof-gravelling and roof-gravel-conveying applications.

NORPLAST® PUR 387 ANTIABRASIVO® AS is suitable for abrasive materials including gravel, sand, mud, cement, grain and grit. NORRES also identifies this model for industrial-cleaning and roofing applications involving the transport of gravel to flat roofs.

These hoses have different constructions and electrical properties. Selection must consider the required flexibility, abrasion level, pressure, vacuum, diameter and whether the application requires a permanently antistatic or electrically conductive hose wall.

Suction and Discharge Hoses for Liquids

The current range also includes thermoplastic suction and discharge hoses for suitable liquids and industrial-cleaning applications.

NORPLAST® PVC 389 SUPERELASTICO is a flexible PVC suction and discharge hose intended for transporting industrial water, dung and irrigation water under medium working conditions. Its smooth interior and rigid-PVC spiral support suction and discharge operation.

NORPLAST® PVC-C 389 CORRUFLEX AS is an extremely flexible suction and discharge hose for transporting industrial water, dung and irrigation water. NORRES also identifies it for industrial cleaning where high demands are placed on hose flexibility and visibility.

NORPLAST® PVC 389 NAFTOIL BUNA is a PVC/NBR suction and discharge hose intended for industrial water, wastewater, dung and mineral oils. NORRES identifies applications including industrial cleaning, grease separators, oil-processing facilities, municipal works and sewage-treatment systems.

Liquid compatibility must be verified for the exact substance, concentration, temperature and exposure duration. General suitability for industrial water or mineral oil must not be extended to every chemical, fuel or wastewater composition.

Abrasion Resistance and Hose Duty Levels

AIRDUC® PUR 356 AS (XHD) and AIRDUC® PUR 356 EC (XHD) are super-heavy polyurethane hoses with reinforced primary abrasion areas. NORRES identifies both models as extremely abrasion resistant and suitable for high-throughput conveying of extremely abrasive bulk materials.

AIRDUC® PUR 355 VAC-TRUCK REINFORCED is a heavy reinforced hose with additional reinforcement beneath the wire and increased pressure and vacuum resistance.

NORPLAST® PUR 387 ANTIABRASIVO® uses a premium polyurethane inner layer and is identified as extremely heavy and extremely abrasion resistant. NORPLAST® PUR 387 ANTIABRASIVO® AS has an approximately 2 mm thick polyurethane inner layer for abrasive materials.

The current product pages for NORPLAST® PVC 389 SUPERELASTICO and NORPLAST® PVC-C 389 CORRUFLEX AS do not identify them with the same extreme abrasion-resistance properties as the AIRDUC® 356 or NORPLAST® PUR 387 models. They should not be selected for extremely abrasive solids solely because they appear on the same application page.

Antistatic and Electrically Conductive Hoses

AIRDUC® PUR 356 AS (XHD) has a permanently antistatic polyurethane wall. According to NORRES, its electrical and surface resistance is below 109 ohms in accordance with ISO 8031. NORRES also states a resistance below 2.5 × 108 ohm-metres in accordance with TRGS 727.

AIRDUC® PUR 356 EC (XHD) has an electrically conductive polyurethane wall with electrical and surface resistance below 103 ohms.

NORRES identifies the AIRDUC® 356 AS and EC models for the stated ATEX 2014/34/EU and TRGS 727 applications. Suitability depends on the conveyed material, hazardous-zone classification, installation and professional earthing of the entire system.

NORPLAST® PUR 387 ANTIABRASIVO® AS and NORPLAST® PVC-C 389 CORRUFLEX AS include a copper stranded wire in their current construction descriptions. However, their current product pages do not state the same permanent antistatic wall resistance or ATEX application range as AIRDUC® PUR 356 AS (XHD).

The presence of a copper stranded wire or the letters AS in a product name must not automatically be treated as confirmation of a specific hose-wall resistance or ATEX suitability. The current technical documentation for the exact model and correct grounding procedure must be checked.

Temperature Ranges

NORRES states the following temperature ranges for the products currently displayed in the suction-vehicle section:

  • AIRDUC® PUR 356 AS (XHD): −40°C to 90°C with short-term exposure up to 125°C

  • NORPLAST® PVC 389 NAFTOIL BUNA: −30°C to 65°C

Short-term temperature values must not be treated as permissible continuous operating temperatures. Pressure, vacuum capability and chemical resistance may also change with temperature.

Pressure and Vacuum Requirements

The available pressure and vacuum values vary by product and internal diameter. AIRDUC® profile hoses, full-plastic polyurethane-lined hoses and PVC suction and discharge hoses must not be assumed to have the same vacuum capability.

NORPLAST® PUR 387 ANTIABRASIVO® and its AS version have current article variants rated for vacuum up to 0.8 bar. NORPLAST® PVC 389 SUPERELASTICO, NORPLAST® PVC-C 389 CORRUFLEX AS and NORPLAST® PVC 389 NAFTOIL BUNA have current article variants rated for vacuum up to 0.9 bar.

AIRDUC® hose pressure and vacuum values change according to diameter. The exact article variant must be checked before selecting a hose for a vacuum truck, suction excavator, riser hose or head-hose installation.

DIN 26057 Product Standard

NORRES identifies the following exact models according to DIN 26057 Type 4:

  • AIRDUC® PUR 356 AS (XHD)
  • AIRDUC® PUR 356 EC (XHD)

This product-standard classification applies only to the specified AIRDUC® models. It must not be extended to other polyurethane or PVC hoses on this page without confirmation from their current NORRES documentation.

Microbe and Hydrolysis Resistance

NORRES identifies AIRDUC® PUR 356 AS (XHD) and AIRDUC® PUR 355 VAC-TRUCK ORANGE as microbe resistant. These properties may be relevant where the hose is exposed to soil, moisture or organic material.

Microbe or hydrolysis resistance must not be automatically claimed for every product displayed in the suction-vehicle range. The individual product information must be checked before selecting a hose for continuous wet or biologically active conditions.
